Positions at Duke University
One fully-funded position at the Ph.D. level is available in the UQ group of Prof. Guilleminot at Duke University. Topics of interest include stochastic multiscale approaches for various complex systems, inverse statistical problems and challenging applications in science and engineering. The expected starting date is in Fall 2020.
Candidates should have a strong interdisciplinary background (with a major in either Applied Mathematics, Mechanics or Materials Science), as well as solid knowledge and interest in one or several of the following areas:
- Computational Mathematics
- Multiscale Approaches (atomistic, continuum)
- Scientific Computing
- Solid Mechanics
- Stochastic Analysis and Uncertainty Quantification
